For folks looking to use Trenitalia website from the US or Canada: Please use a visa credit or debit card that has been verified by visa. Verified by visa is another layer of security. Trenitalia will accept all credit cards or debit cards that have been verified by visa. Here is the link to see if your debit card or credit card issuing company is part of the verified by visa program. Hope this helps.
