		<description>Elizabeth,  if you&#039;re traveling only for a few days in Italy, you&#039;re outta luck. If you&#039;re staying for an extended time (a couple of months or more), you can get an IDP online through AAA for about $66. Or, you can try emailing a scanned image of your drivers&#039; license, completed and signed application form,  and passport sized photo to friends/relatives in the States. They can go to a AAA office and submit the paperwork and some AAA locations will give them an IDP. We&#039;ve done it both ways, and of course, always renew when we head home. We&#039;ve also given our license, photos and forms to friends headed back to the States for a week... and then they bring us back the IDP. Depends on the &quot;position&quot; of the AAA office you utilize.</description>
